MCMedicalCodingSoftware
Pricing

One price. Everything in it.

Most medical coding software pricing is a maze of tiers, member rates, and add-on modules. This page is one number: MedicalCodingSoftware.org costs $390 per year, and that is the whole product — no membership to maintain, no modules to add, no CEU bundle you did not ask for. The trial runs 7 days and does not ask for a card.

$390/ year

Per coder. About $32.50 a month, billed once.

We are not the cheapest

If a search box is all you want, AAPC Codify’s entry tier is $129/yr and Optum’s is $299.95/yr, and both are less than we charge. Buy one of those. What you do not get at those prices is the compliance checking, and that is the part we built. Compare us to the tiers above, which are the ones that do what we do.

Why one flat price

The incumbents price by module because their products grew by acquisition. We built one product, so we charge for one product. You should not need a spreadsheet to understand your coding tool’s invoice.

Your renewal price is locked

While you stay subscribed, your price never goes up. Renewal creep is a tax on loyalty and we are not going to charge it.

What the incumbents charge, verified

One flat price is easy to state. The comparison is what takes work, so each of the established tools has its own pricing page here, checked against the vendor’s own site on a stated date: AAPC Codify pricing, Find-A-Code pricing and Optum EncoderPro pricing. For what each one does differently, not just what it costs, start at the alternatives overview.

Questions

What happens when the trial ends?
Access stops and we ask you to subscribe. We never took a card, so nothing charges automatically and there is nothing to cancel. Your account is preserved exactly as you left it either way.
Is there a monthly plan?
No. Annual only, at $390. A monthly plan at this price would cost more in payment friction than it would earn, and we would rather put that into the product.
Do you have team pricing?
Same $390 per seat, on a single invoice. For five seats or more, ask us at support@medicalcodingsoftware.org or through the contact form and we will set it up by hand.
Why is CPT missing?
CPT codes aren't included yet. When they are, they turn on for everyone at no extra cost. Until then we are telling you plainly rather than burying it.
